Who We Are
Shepherd's Flock Preschool is where quality education meets a nurturing environment.
We offer half-day, full-day, and summer programs for 3 to 5-year-olds. All children must be fully toilet trained.
Children learn by seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, tasting, pouring, pounding, measuring, cutting, gluing, and trying things for themselves. In other words...THEY LEARN BY HAVING FUN! We incorporate all of these activities into our curriculum for loads of fun and learning.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
-
Each child is accepted as an individual.
-
Children learn by playing through a mixture of teacher and child-initiated activities and hands-on learning.
-
We incorporate Christian faith into our everyday experiences.
-
Children learn that they are nurtured and loved by God.
-
Our activities promote language, literacy, math, science, arts, and large motor play.
-
We create a high-quality learning environment that enables every child to become a creative and confident thinker.
-
We partner with families to support their child’s learning and development.
-
Parents are welcomed into the classroom at all times.
4 STAR - PARENT AWARE
Parent Aware is Minnesota’s Quality Rating and Improvement System that improves, supports, and celebrates the strengths of childcare and early education programs. This highlights our practices to prepare our learners for kindergarten.
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG CHILDREN (NAEYC)
Our high-quality early childhood program is endorsed by this third party. Shepherd's Flock completed a self-study assessment, that included our curriculum, materials, and planned activities, to receive accreditation. Every five years, we reassess and comply with the NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards.
